Until now, if you wanted to do vertical pulling you were limited to doing pull ups or lat pull downs. Designed for use with 1.5 inch diameter rope (not included).
If you could not do a pull up, then you had to find bands or some sort of way to reduce the effort required. Even then, you were still restricted to a bilateral exercise.

So, PurMotion went “old school” and designed a pulley for a battling rope, attached a dumbbell and there it was…a unilateral vertical pull that anyone could do–using a pulley to hoist a weight.
So simple, yet so right.
